CONSOLES

Consoles, drawers, chesters, shelfs and racks are all primarily storage items in our homes, called by different names but part of every house hold, modern or traditional, big or small. A bookshelf or a TV Console or a shoe rack is something needed by all. At Pakcentralasian we prove the point that each of these can be much more than just storage items. With a large area of visible surfaces, they are turned literally into art pieces with aesthetically designed, hand crafted items in real wood by craftsmen and women at various locations throughout Northern Pakistan and Kashmir for Pakcentralasian Furnitures. The result is not just an authentic piece but a mix of our Asian and Islamic traditions from Central Asia, Turkey and Pakistan. These items are generally rustic, hand carved, hand painted, reflecting a cultural heritage, traditionally inspired but still very practical and classic.

Pakcentralasian Furnitures is not only a socially responsible organization but it remains a social enterprise where craftsmen are not brought to workshops and factories but the work itself is taken to their homes where the whole families collectively perform the same. Almost all hand painted work is entirely done by ladies at their own homes. This approach is not only cost saving but one that makes it possible to provide employment to ladies in far flung areas of Pakistan.
